OptFor-EU is creating a series of factsheets, the practice abstracts, to play a crucial role in fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and advancing sustainable agriculture and forest management within the EU. These first abstracts focus on two key project reports: Gridded Dataset of European Forest Types: This dataset is an essential component for our upcoming Decision Support System (DSS). It was chosen for a practice abstract because it contains critical data that will help future project milestones, such as new European Forest Management Indicators and land cover reports. The dataset is critical for improving forest management techniques throughout Europe. Stakeholder Engagement Plan and Map: This strategy was chosen for a practice abstract because it helped guide stakeholder interaction throughout the project. Effective stakeholder engagement is critical to ensuring that the DSS and other project results are relevant and valuable to end users, hence this strategy is critical to our project’s success. These practice abstracts were produced to emphasise the significance of these reports and give short overviews to assist stakeholders understand the project’s unique techniques and possible effect. They comply to the Agricultural European Innovation Partnership (EIP-AGRI) standard format, which is intended to enable the transmission of practical information amongst farmers, foresters, consultants, and academics.
