WIS.2 Cockpit
WIS.2 leverages the significant advantages of IT, with the aim of dynamically linking corporate strategy with planned interventions at settlement level, and thus satisfying multiscalarity. WIS.2 allows you to:
Create and simulate different silvicultural management variants,
systematic documentation of decisions taken, in the form of silvicultural plan reports,
flexible adaptation of plans to changes,
regular verification of the forest's evolution in relation to the realization of the company's strategy.
WIS.2 can thus be seen as a kind of cockpit with an integrated navigation system for monitoring and steering forest ecosystems.
Main result:
Silvicultural decisions for a forest area: stand composition goal, target dimensions and production periods, rejuvenation policy (extent of forest renewal), guidelines for species selection, care concept for defining care and thinning interventions.
Forest potential and measures map with indications of urgency and priorities for action
Simulation of the consequences of decisions taken over several decades
Strong points:
Easy to use. Consider and plan the forest as a whole, and know exactly where to act locally.
