System name: Heureka RegWise
Brief overview
RegWise is an application of the Heureka for making long-term forest scenario analyses for a multi-objective forestry. Analyses are primarily based on data from the Swedish National Forest Inventory and other data sources as remote sensing and digital map data. It consists of models that predict the tree-layer development for a rotation period. Examples are growth-, mortality-, biomass models and models for carbon and wood properties. The user can simulate a number of treatments as regeneration, thinning and clearcutting.
