Software tool for planning, business, science and education The GISCAME software (formerly “Pimp Your Landscape”) supports the simulation, visualization and evaluation of changes in land use. The modular software makes it possible to work on tasks individually from different perspectives. GISCAME aims to evaluate land use on the basis of regionally available knowledge (statistical data, model results/expert opinions and empirical knowledge) and thus provide planners with a tool for weighing up alternative courses of action. The concept of the software considers the landscape as an integrative level for interactions between different types of land use and land users and landscape-related ecosystem processes, which determine the fulfilment of landscape-related ecosystem services. The connected evaluation and control system can be used to formulate framework conditions and define conversion requirements/prohibitions. |
